Anne Polès has passionately led a module since 2006. We are lucky to have such a renowned lecturer from Sciences Politiques Bordeaux. At this institution, Anne assists students who want to prepare exams for the Haute Administration and Business Schools.
A Chance Meeting
Anne Polès does not hide the fact that it was during a conversation with Jean-Jacques Ratier (Ecole de Savignac’s director until September 2009) that she was offered an opportunity to lecture at Ecole de Savignac. «The objectives of the course were very clear: to reinforce the general knowledge of the MBA students. I accepted straight away, since Ecole de Savignac represented a new dimension in my career: I had not taught on such a program before». Once the course started, Anne Polès quickly realised the school’s dynamism and human dimension. «Its richness comes from the fact that the school recruits from all social segments and education backgrounds. This diversity can be difficult to channel in group work but it is primarily a real strength». The underlying open-mindedness in the school and the recruiting methods are, according to Anne «a unique resource for students’ development». Students also have an open-minded attitude: «They are very courteous, which is very pleasant and welcoming».
The Research Module: «My reminder to the alumni»
«I was made Research Module Leader in 2009. This ambitious project demands rigour in method and in attainable objectives. My role is to supervise students along with Elise Mognard and to make sure they analyse each problem they come across critically». The research module is a real investigation into the hospitality and service industries. «They must use the alumni network as a resource», confirms Anne.
