Contemporary Issues in International Hospitality
Aims :
To enable students to :
- Analyse and critically evaluate the key factors which impact on the operational management of hospitality businesses, in all sectors, and in different scales and types of operation
- Appraise contemporary issues that impact on the hospitality industry in its context and assess the possible future implications.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the module students will be able to :
- Analyse and evaluate the component aspects of operations management and operational issues that have and will impact on trends and development in the hospitality industry, both nationally and internationally.
- Assess future developmental needs of hospitality operations created by issues that impact on the industry.
- Synthesis concepts, theory and practice to develop deep understanding of contemporary issues in the hospitality industry
- Critically evaluate research findings and communicate effectively through appropriate media
