The Savignac Attitude

Everything at Savignac has been designed to develop a sense of service, interpersonal skills and creativity. These are essential qualities for the professions for which students are prepared at the School.

A School/Business: professional attitude and commitment

École de Savignac positions itself as a School with a strong emphasis on business. It requires students to adopt a professional attitude throughout the duration of their studies and makes them responsible on a daily basis by involving them in the life of the School.

For example, the students organise the visits of guest speakers themselves and this gives them the opportunity to interact with the business world and build up their own network of contacts.

Working in groups

Savignac emphasises the need to learn behavioural skills in order to guarantee professional success. Hospitality management is not limited to knowledge alone. More than ever it requires the skill of being at ease with working relationships and dealing with the public.

During the course of whichever curriculum you follow, you will work on a number of group projects in order to learn how to develop not only your self-confidence, but also your interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. You will gradually become an autonomous, responsible and flexible professional who is open to the world and able to manage a team.

Week of Service and ‘Week Leaders’

Every week, in turn, a group of students called ‘Week Leaders’ work together in order to ensure the organisation of the campus and to create a sense of team spirit and service. These weeks of service make students responsible as they take part in the management of the campus.

‘Week Leaders’ are responsible for organising the visits of guest speakers and other visitors, logistics management, accessibility and security, campus entertainment and decoration, meetings, exhibitions, etc. This gives students a sense of responsibility and introduces them to the role of a future General Manager.

École de Savignac is a higher education establishment belonging to and managed by the Dordogne Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It trains managers in the hotel, catering, events, leisure and tourism sectors. This unique School, where everyone is part of a family, trains around 400 students every year over 2 training cycles ranging from Bac to Bac +5 (BA and MBA).
