Assistance for the creation of schools specialising in the hotel, restaurant and tourism sectors.
Savignac Education Consulting supports educational groups, public authorities, public and private investors in the creation or development of specialised schools for the hospitality sector.
Thelma Business School (Tourism, Hospitality, Events and Luxury Hotel Management courses), Senegal
In 2015, École de Savignac outsourced its Bachelor’s degree programme to Senegal in order to respond to the increasing presence of hotel groups in East and West Africa and to meet their needs in human resources.
Thelma was created through the partnership between BEM DAKAR, the first French-speaking business school in sub-Saharan Africa, and École de Savignac. Today, Thelma is the leading specialised school in Africa. It teaches Savignac’s International Bachelor’s degree, certified by the RNCP, level 6. The degree retains the structure of Savignac’s BA degree but is adapted to the African market. This partnership enables students who study at Thelma to obtain a Savignac Bac + 3 BA degree. They then have the possibility of continuing their studies on the MBA course at École de Savignac in France if they wish.
École Supérieure Internationale de Savignac carries out both on-site and remote supervision and monitoring to ensure the required level of academic quality.
Development of specialised sectors in the hotel, restaurant and tourism industry
It also makes its know-how available to schools of higher education (in particular management schools) for the development of specialised courses in the hotel, catering and tourism sectors.
Hospitality Management studies for the Bachelor’s degree at TBS (Toulouse Business School)
TBS offered a Bachelor’s degree in management for posts as diverse as marketing, management, sales and export. From the second year onwards, the school wanted to design different specialised courses, including the Hospitality Management course, co-created with École Supérieure Internationale de Savignac. This option began in 2011 but ended in 2014.
The Bachelor’s degree has been recognised throughout the world thanks to the international accreditations from EQUIS and AACSB. It was also ranked the first Bachelor’s degree in France by Eduniversal ranking, fourth by lefigaro.fr and first by the Orientations website.
International outsourcing of specialised programmes in the hospitality industry
Savignac proposes outsourcing its diplomas abroad through partnerships with schools recognised for their academic quality and for their contribution to the development of the local economy.
This enables us to contribute to the development of emerging countries by supporting training projects for local communities.
It is also a guarantee for our professional partners, i.e. international hotel and catering groups, of the ability to recruit local executives who are experienced in management techniques, familiar with international standards and who promote local values and cultures.
Outsourcing the Bachelor’s degree to the Ecole Hôtelière de Grand Bassam (EHB)
École de Savignac signed a partnership agreement on 27 October 2018 at Grand Bassam (Ivory Coast) with the Hotel School of Grand Bassam, in the presence of Germain Ollo, Senator and CEO of Fedel Group.
This agreement enables the Hotel School of Grand Bassam to deliver Savignac’s International Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, thus benefitting from the academic excellence and good reputation of École de Savignac, already a leader in France.
The cooperation of École de Savignac will support the training needs of the hotel industry in a region of the world where this sector is growing steadily (number of visits up 12.7% between 2016 and 2017).
This initiative was encouraged by both the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Ministry of Tourism of the Ivory Coast (both well represented at the signing ceremony) and the French Embassy, which supports this excellent example of cooperation between France and the Ivory Coast.
Our approach
Savignac Education Consulting provides tailor-made solutions adapted to the objectives and specific requirements of our future partners. They systematically integrate the political, economic and social reality of the country where the project will be implemented.
01. ANALYSIS PHASE
First of all, Savignac specialists analyse the documents sent in order to familiarise themselves with the potential future partner’s plans and to make a list of further information required in order to optimize the on-site visit, which is the second phase.
02. ON-SITE VISIT
Then, Savignac specialists visit and meet the potential future partners and their school, if it already exists. During this visit, Savignac consultants analyse the objectives of the future partner, its academic programme(s) and evaluate the existing infrastructure. They also use the opportunity of their on-site visit to meet all the players likely to be involved in the project: public authorities, academic or professional partners, public or private investors, etc.
03. PLANNING TRAINING AND TEACHING
Following this visit, Savignac consultants start working on a plan for training and designing the educational concept best suited to our partner’s constraints, challenges and objectives.
After approval of this concept, Savignac Education Consulting could, at the request of its partner, carry out work in order to develop a curriculum consistent with the chosen concept. Its consultants could also participate in the recruitment and training of tutors for the programme of study.
04. QUALITY CONTROL AND CERTIFICATION
Certification will follow if teaching meets the required standards. The process of a consulting project
