Internships & Work Placements in Industry
At Savignac, the teaching is based on practice. Work placements have multiple benefits, the main ones being to develop your skills and to prepare your professional integration in France and abroad.
Compulsory Work Placements
Every year, studies at Savignac include compulsory immersion in the workplace in order:
- to develop your skills
- to confront you with life in a company and the reality of the workplace
- discover different professions and refine your career plans.
A dedicated person supports and advises you throughout the year in your research and during the work placements.
At the end of your studies, the work placements account for:
- BA: more than one year of cumulative professional immersion
- MBA: 6 months
You can choose work placements abroad in order to develop your language skills and prepare for an international career.
Looking for Work Placements
Do I have to find my own work placements ?
Some schools find placements for their students and assign them. This is not the case at Savignac as we do not believe this does our students any favours. The search for a work placement is an important part of the apprenticeship and the success of the job search. It guarantees the employability of our graduates and allows quick and qualitative professional integration.
This is demonstrated by the high success rate of our graduates into the job market.
The Careers Department helps you in your search for a work placement
With the help of the Careers Department at École de Savignac you have at your disposal a whole set of tools to facilitate your search for a work placement and for your professional success.
- Recruitment Forums, where you can meet and talk to HR managers from many companies in the industry
- Business Conferences, which introduce you to professions and sectors of activity, and help you to develop your career plans
- The School Network which is made up of former graduates, teaching staff and professionals in the industry who all want to hear about your plans and advise you
- The Careers Department specialises in the preparation of students for their professional careers. It trains you for interviews, CV writing, simulates job interviews, regularly publishes work placement offers, etc.
- Coaching in Personal Development, with consultants who help you to build your career plans and determine your goals.

Terms and Conditions of the Work Placement
Work Placement in France
For your information, when the duration of the placement is more than 2 months, the student receives a minimum renumeration of 15% of the Social Security hourly ceiling as defined in accordance with Article L241-3 of the Social Security Code.
In accordance with article D124-6 of the Education Code, the duration of the placement is no longer 151.67 hours, but rather a minimum of 154 hours, calculated on the basis of the trainee’s actual presence in the host organisation.
This renumeration can be renegotiated upwards if the host company agrees.
Work Placement Overseas
Remuneration is paid in accordance with the local legislation in force. The School recommends that its students receive remuneration appropriate to the local standard of living.
In general, the conditions of the placement abroad are negotiated between students and the host organisation. If the level of remuneration does not allow you to live decently in the host country during your training period, other forms of compensation may be considered: accommodation, meals, reimbursement of travel expenses, local transport tickets, end-of-traineeship bonuses, etc.
Depending on the area where you carry out your work placement, you may also be eligible for an Erasmus+ grant
