TRAINING IN INTERNATIONAL HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
The hotel, tourism and catering sector is eminently international. Our world is marked by international travel and cultural exchanges are now at the heart of our profession. These international exchanges bring great richness to our students and reinforce our values and vision of hospitality. Studying or working abroad means learning and discovering other ways of seeing the world, other ways of seeing service and other ways of seeing our profession. This is why an international perspective is at the heart of our courses at École de Savignac. Our degree programmes encourage international travel for work or studies, allowing French students to broaden their horizons abroad, and welcoming foreign students to learn about luxury hotels in France. If our leading hotel school in Bordeaux is at the top of the hospitality MBA and BA rankings in France and internationally, it is also thanks to this openness to the world.
The advantages of international travel for work placements or studies
Doing part of your course abroad allows you to broaden your horizons. It is an unparalleled opportunity to improve your foreign language skills, English or otherwise, particularly in the context of the hotel and restaurant industry. Discovering new cultures and ways of thinking promote open-mindedness and develop creativity, which are values dear to Savignac. During group work or professional experience abroad, students have their first intercultural management experiences. These skills, reinforced by a theoretical curriculum, are essential for any manager in the luxury hotel industry. In addition, the development of a sense of responsibility when a student lives far from home is incomparable.
The different options
Our programmes offer two main possibilities for spending time abroad:
> A university exchange, by spending a semester abroad during the BA degree.
> A work placement abroad, during the BA or MBA degree courses.
University exchanges during the BA degree course
On the basis of academic excellence, BA students can study abroad in the second year of the course. This is an ideal opportunity for those wishing to start building an international profile. École de Savignac’s partner universities are located all over the world. In Europe, this exchange comes under the Erasmus scheme and can therefore be eligible for an Erasmus scholarship.
Work placements abroad
All work placements on our Bachelor’s degrees and Master’s degrees courses can be carried out abroad. During these work placements, students can experience different cultures and develop an international management profile. Work placements are supervised by the School through an official agreement.
Our partner universities
In Europe, our 10 partner universities all enable access to the Erasmus scheme. They are in Austria, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Ireland, Macedonia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
Outside Europe, you can choose from our 10 partnerships. Most of our partners are in Asia: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Nepal. We also have partnerships in Canada, South Africa and Senegal.
Each of these destinations is unique, and each host culture offers a new perspective on hospitality.
Come and study hotel management in France (foreign students)
International exchanges work both ways. As a student of our School, you don’t have to travel to meet new cultures. We welcome foreign students from all over the world and train them in the excellence of the French luxury hotel industry. French hospitality and the art of luxury have become an international reference. To come and study at École de Savignac is to experience cultural and linguistic immersion. But it also means experiencing the codes of French elegance from the inside. Come and study in our atypical, rural setting in the heart of the Dordogne. You will have an unforgettable experience and build a top of the range professional profile. Our School of hospitality management in France is one of the most reputable in the country. Year after year it is at the top of the list of BA and MBA degrees in hotel management.
