Admissions & Applications

How to apply? 
    1. You can submit your application on our dedicated application platform for all the courses offered by the School, except one: admissions for the 1st year of the Bachelor's program in a sandwich course are made on the Parcoursup platform and according to the national calendar.
    2. Once your application has been accepted, you will be invited to a selection interview.
      Interviews are held all year round by appointment, as well as at our Open House events. Remote interviews are also available on request. 
    3. These admission sessions can be combined with immersion days (organized on request) to help you discover the school and make your choice. 
    4. Applicants for the Full-time MBA are tested on their level of English, as 70% of courses are taught in English.
What is the admissions timetable? 
    1. You can apply from September to June for all the programs on offer. One exception: admissions for the 1st year of a Bachelor's degree in a sandwich course are based on the national Parcoursup calendar.
Is professional experience required to apply? 
  1. No, not when you apply. However, professional experience (job or internship) is required before you start at the school:
    - Bachelor 1 initial: 1 month
    - Bachelor 1 alternance: 2 months
    - Bachelor 2: 3 to 4 months
    - Bachelor 3: 3 to 6 months
    - MBA: 6 months minimum
    You can acquire it between the time you apply and the start of the school year. 
What options should I choose in high school to enter the Bachelor's program atÉcole de Savignac ?
  1. The Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management is open to holders of a general, technological or vocational baccalaureate, whatever option they choose. 
Can I enter the Bachelor's programme directly in2nd or3rd year?
  1. Yes. Parallel admission is possible for students who have validated a Bac+1 (entry in 2ᔉ year) or a Bac+2 (entry in 3ᔉ year: BTS, DUT, Licence) and/or have acquired experience in the sector (assessed on application). Applications are made directly to the School.

Training & Education

I'm hesitating between work-study and full-time. How can I choose? 
    1. Only you can decide! But here are a few things to consider:
    2. > The initial :
    3. - It's more time to delve deeper into concepts (higher hourly course volume) and acquire managerial tools.
      - It means benefiting from Savignac's major asset: developing soft skills in a highly formative immersive student experience (as important as the academic program itself). Student life at Savignac forges human managers.
      - It's also a professional training program, since you'll accumulate over a year's professional experience at the end of your Bachelor's or MBA!
      - It enables you to build an international career path: you can go abroad for an internship every year if you wish, or on an academic exchange in the 2nd year of the Bachelor's program.
      - In 3rd year, you can choose a program of specializations based on your affinities and career plans, rather than a cross-disciplinary program like a sandwich course.  
    4. > Work-study programs:
      - Immediate and regular professional immersion.
      - Tuition fees are covered.
      - It's very demanding: you need to be autonomous and rigorous in order to overcome the difficulties of studying while on the job.
Can I opt for a sandwich course in my 1st year? 
  1. Yes, theEcole de Savignac offers two formats for all its courses : initial full-time and sandwich courses, from the 1st year of the Bachelor's program through to the MBA. 
What specializations are offered in the Bachelor's program?
    1. In 3ᔉ year of the initial Bachelor format, two possible specializations:
    2. > Hotel Management (90% in English): international careers in luxury and chain hotels.
      > Event & Restaurant Management: for those with a passion for gastronomy, events and operational management.
What jobs can I do after a Bachelor's degree?
  1. Examples of career opportunities: assistant then reception manager, catering service, event manager, assistant then F&B manager, events project manager...
What careers can I aim for after the MBA?
  1. The MBA provides training for management positions: hotel manager, operations manager, sales or marketing manager, hotel consultant, revenue manager, HR manager, entrepreneur in the HTR sector, etc.
Are there any international opportunities during the Bachelor's program?
  1. Yes, every year, internships are an opportunity to go abroad. In2nd year, you can take part in an academic exchange at one of our 20 partner institutions around the world.
Kitchen training?
  1. No. TheEcole de Savignac is a hospitality management school. This distinguishes it from a hotel school. We have neither a restaurant nor a training hotel. We have chosen to teach management right from the 1st year. 
  2. All our training courses are designed for professional use. Practical experience is only acquired during the long professional internships included in the curriculum. 
  3. Our speakers are industry experts, who share their experience and advice based on real-life case studies. 
  4. Last but not least, our teaching methods mimic corporate life: you won't be sitting in class for hours on end.

Internships, Work-study & Employability

What types of companies recruit Savignac students?
    1. Savignac is a partner to numerous companies in France and abroad, from the largest to the local: Accor, Marriott, Sodexo, Club Med, Parisian palaces, Michelin-starred restaurants, caterers, event agencies...
Do I have to find my own internship or does the school place its students? 
    1. Ecole de Savignac does not place its students. We believe that job-seeking skills are an essential part of any successful career! 
    2. What's more, our school provides training in a wide variety of hospitality professions, so we adapt to our students' career plans, which can be very different from one another. We encourage our students to follow their own path. 
Does the school offer career support?
  1. Yes, Career Services helps you build your career plan: CV workshops and interviews with recruitment agencies, individual career coaching, etc. 
  2. We don't place our students in internships or work-study programs, but we do provide them with all the tools and support they need to succeed. 
  3. Our Talent Day, which brings together around a hundred recruiters, and our alumni network are also effective platforms for finding your next professional experience. 

Student life & Accommodation

Why did you decide to locate the campus in Savignac?
    1. École de Savignac is located in the Dordogne (24), in an exceptional natural setting, ideal for learning and community life.

What's student life like in Savignac? Won't I get bored? 
  1. Community spirit is one of Savignac's strengths. The Savignac Way of Life: a multitude of activities, student offices, conferences, projects and shared passions that will punctuate your student life.
  2. You'll take part in traditional and memorable events that strengthen ties between generations: the Winter Ball, the famous Socca Festival, the legendary Rugby Interpretotions match and the End of Year Gala are all highlights of our student life.

Where to stay? 
    1. Most students live in the village around the campus, often in shared accommodation. Students with vehicles can stay up to 5 to 10 minutes away by car.
    2. Some forty student housing units are located on the campus, within the École itself. They are reserved for 1st year full-time or sandwich MBA students.
    3. Work-study students, who are only on campus for one week a month, have two accommodation options:
      > They can stay at the nearby Lycée professionnel de Chardeuil boarding school, for an unbeatable price.
      > The Résidence-Club Le Secret du Périgord in Sorges offers greater freedom, with fully-equipped 2 or 3-bedroom pavilions available by the week.
What catering services does the school offer? 
  1. During weekday lunchtimes, all students have lunch at the campus cafeteria, managed by Sodexo. Students living in the campus residence also have lunch there.
Why do you only have a maximum of 450 students? 
  1. We have chosen to remain a school on a human scale, keeping our numbers small to ensure that you receive personalized attention and support throughout your career.

Rates & Financing

How much does a Bachelor's or MBA at Savignac cost?
    1. Tuition fees vary according to program and format (initial or sandwich course). For sandwich courses, fees are financed by the company and the OPCO. In the initial program, payments are staggered and assistance may be available (CROUS, region, Erasmus +, etc.).
Can I finance my studies with a work-study program?
    1. Yes, with a work-study program, you're salaried and paid by your company. Your training costs are financed (by the OPCO and the company), which is an advantageous solution.
