Available mobility routes

Students interested in studying abroad can choose between:

  • an academic exchange semester abroad
  • or a long-term internship

Students interested in participating in an academic exchange program begin a process of preparation, guidance, and selection at the start of the year.

Information and Application Preparation

Starting in September, students are notified:

  • partner universities
  • available destinations
  • academic and language requirements
  • application guidelines
  • mobility schedules
  • and selection criteria

Since applications to partner universities for the fourth-semester exchange program, which begins in September, must be submitted, students should begin seriously considering their options and taking the necessary steps as soon as the academic year begins.

Confirmation of the proposed itinerary – January

By January at the latest, students who have expressed interest in an exchange semester must confirm their intention to pursue the “academic exchange” track rather than the “long-term internship” track.
This step allows Savignac to:

  • to anticipate capacity for hosting and exchange
  • to prepare the preliminary nominations
  • and to adhere to the academic calendars of the partner universities

Final destination selection – Mid-April

Students applying for an academic exchange program must submit their final choice of partner university by mid-April at the latest.
This choice must be accompanied by:

  • academic and/or professional justification
  • evidence demonstrating the coherence of the mobility plan
  • and, if applicable, proof of the required language or academic proficiency

Review and approval of applications

Applications are reviewed based on:

  • academic outcomes and project coherence
  • in terms of language proficiency
  • the student's involvement
  • the admission requirements of partner universities
  • and available exchange capacity

Final assignments and approvals will be confirmed by the end of April at the latest.

Finality of the mobility choice

Once approved, the choice of mobility program (academic exchange or long-term internship) is considered final.
No changes will be accepted after approval, except in exceptional and duly justified circumstances, subject to Savignac’s approval.
This rule is necessary to ensure:

  • fulfillment of commitments made to partner universities
  • emissions trading quota management
  • the academic structure
  • and compliance with international administrative schedules

Appointments at partner universities

Savignac handles official applications to partner universities in accordance with each institution’s specific deadlines and requirements.

Compliance with internal deadlines is therefore a prerequisite for students’ eligibility for international academic exchange programs.
